Solacia

Solacia is a series of resting chairs, particularly suitable for the Care sector. The chairs have been developed via user-driven innovation in a close cooperation between Gentofte Hospital, users, Magnus Olesen and the designer Lone Storgaard from Design Concern. Solacia has a clear and stringent design, with comfortably, slightly rounded shapes both in the upholstery and in the wooden armrests, adapted to users, who will sit in the chairs for longer periods of time to rest. The chair is available with 3 heights of back – the highest version has a tilting mechanism to regulate the back tilt up to 12° and a detachable neck support. A matching foot stool is available, also with tilting mechanism.
